  • Worked on exhibition Prints and People (2016). Researched for exhibition especially as related to provenance. Updated records and cataloged in The Museum System (TMS) both for objects in the exhibition and other works in the collection (especially ephemera), including Wiener Werkstätte postcards and Edouart Silhouettes. Wrote blog entry for museums website on Moriz Jung’s aviation postcards (June 2014). Assisted curator as needed.

            Student Archaeologist and Draftsman’s Assistant, May 23-June 30, 2013, 5 weeks

  • Excavations led by Clemente Marconi. Excavation of temple R, adyton. Sifted material from trench as well as active with pick axe and trowel in trench. Sorted materials on site as well as cleaned pottery. Washed pottery. Data entry into Microsoft Excel and FileMakerPro. Drew select pieces of pottery and diagrams of trench and temple. Took elevations of site as well as Total Station points.

  • Internship supervisor: Martha Tedeschi, Prince Trust Curator
  • Assisted the Old Master Works Curator in initial research and organization of information for Capturing the Sublime: Italian Drawings of the Renaissance and Baroque (2012). Curated and wrote wall text for 6-month installation of seven 15th-century Italian prints. Supervised visitors and handled artwork in the Goldman Study Center. Assisted curators with research for proposed acquisitions, assisted in editing the catalogue Marin’s Watercolors: A Medium for Modernism, and researched provenance for items in permanent collection.

Gilcrease Museum, Tulsa, Oklahoma
            Intern, May 25 to August 12, 2010

  • Supervisor: Eric Singleton, Associate Curator of Anthropology
  • Worked in Anthropology, Art, and Registration departments. Assisted with framing and didactics for America: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of a Nation and all such work for History in Focus: Photographic Image from the Gilcrease Collection. Selected works for exhibition and helped with layout. Cut Mylar. Database entry in PastPerfect and Filemaker Pro. Cataloged the City of Tulsa Art Collection. Care and maintenance/handling of the collection using American Association of Museums approved handling techniques. Interacted with various museum staff members to obtain museum goals.

  • Supervisor: Jane Stevens, Associate Curator of Art, Chicago Gallery Administrator
  • Assisted curators as needed, inventoried (assigned accession numbers, completed condition reports, researched related paintings) works on paper related to artist Julius Moessel into Filemaker Pro, gave tours of gallery, wrote press releases, edited publication materials, packed artwork for transit, etc. Translated inscriptions and research materials from German to English.
